Miller Honored by UAA

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Sophomore Bram Miller (Colgate, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's indoor track and field team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week for field events following his performance at the Noke Elite Meet hosted by Roanoke College last Saturday.

Miller helped the Tartans win their third straight meet, as the sophomore recorded two personal-best marks at the meet and turned in a top finish. His first-place finish came in the shot put with a mark of 16.02 meters. The sophomore recorded a distance of 12.88 meters in the weight throw to place seventh.

His distance in the shot put currently ranks him second in the UAA and 14th nationally.

The Tartans will compete again Friday, February 15 at the Ohio State Indoor Collegiate Meet in Columbus, Ohio, and Saturday, February 16 at the Mount Union Raider Tune-Up in Alliance, Ohio.
