Three Tartans to Compete at the NCAA Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – Three Carnegie Mellon University men's indoor track and field athletes have received an invite to compete at the 2020 NCAA Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 13-14. This year's championships will be held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with Guilford College serving as the official host.

Senior Evan Yukevich (Tokyo, Japan / American School in Japan) returns to the national meet for the third time with his second consecutive appearance in the mile run. He was also part of the DMR that competed at the 2017 championships. Yukevich will be joined in the mile by senior Liam Walsh (Gaithersburg, Md. / Quince Orchard) while sophomore Graham Eversden (Chandler, Ariz. / Chandler) will compete in the 800-meter run.

Yukevich recorded a season-best time in the mile of 4:13.19 at the Bucknell Tune Up while Walsh qualified with a personal-best time of 4:14.36 which recorded Saturday at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet. Eversden also recorded a personal-best time at Tufts Saturday when he crossed the line in 1:53.56.

The preliminaries of the mile are set for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13 with the finals to be run on Saturday, March 14 at 2:30 p.m. The 800-meter run preliminaries are at 4:35 p.m. Friday and the finals at 3:50 p.m. Saturday.
