Kiefel Honored by UAA

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Senior Justin Kiefel (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown STEM Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's outdoor track and field team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week for field events following his performance at the at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University on Saturday.

Kiefel won the triple and long jump events with marks of 14.68 meters and 7.23 meters. Both marks rank tops in the UAA with his triple jump distance ranking third nationally and long jump seventh.

The Tartans will next compete at the Westminster Invitational Saturday, April 9.
