Miller Named UAA Most Outstanding Performer in Field Events

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University graduate student Bram Miller (Colgate, Wis. / Kettle Moraine Lutheran) has been honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) when the 2022 Outdoor Track and Field awards were announced Monday. Miller was named Most Outstanding Performer in the field events, marking his second outdoor honor of his career and third overall.

Miller won both the shot put and discus at the UAA Championships last weekend at Washington University in St. Louis in helping the Tartans to a second-place team finish. He opened the championships with a UAA meet record throw of 17.01 meters in the shot put. Miller broke the mark of 16.56 meters held by Tartan Zach Erra-Hernandez in 2012. He then won his second UAA title on Sunday in the discus with a throw of 47.79 meters.

Miller currently ranks third nationally in the shot put and fourth in the discus.
