UAA Announces 25th Anniversary Men’s Cross Country Team

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - In honor of its silver anniversary, the University Athletic Association has announced its 25th Anniversary Men's Cross Country Team. Thirty-seven student-athletes earned the honor, including four from Carnegie Mellon University.

The team consists of each student-athlete who finished as Individual Champion or accumulated five or more points with two points awarded for All-Association first-team recognition, and one point for second-team honors in his career.

The four Tartan athletes honored were Brian Harvey (2005-2008), Dana Irrer (2002-2005), Jim Langer (1990-1993) and Dave Supp (1986-1989).

Supp was the individual champion his senior year and also earned first-team accolades as a junior to go with second-team honors as a sophomore. He also competed at the NCAA Championships three times.

Langer was also an individual champion as a senior and also earned first-team honors as a junior and second-team honors as a sophomore while Irrer earned two second-team and two first-team accolades. Additionally, Irrer earned All-America honors twice and ran in three NCAA Championships while leading the 2005 team to the UAA Championship.

Harvey was the only runner to earn three first-team honors and did so in consecutive seasons starting as a sophomore. He also ran in four NCAA Championships, finished as an All-American twice and was part of the 2005 UAA Championship team.
