Tartans Place Sixth at NCAA Championships, Tie School Best Performance

The Carnegie Mellon University men’s cross country team tied for the best finish in school history at the 2023 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 18 at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania, when the Tartans placed sixth. The Tartans last placed in the top 10 in 2007 and were sixth in 1981.

Tartans Earn Fifth Straight Automatic Bid to NCAA Championships

By winning the 2023 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship this past Saturday, the Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team automatically qualified for the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships which will be held at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, November 18. It marks the Tartans' ninth straight team appearance at the championships and 16th in the last 17 years.
Tartans Dominate in Mid-Atlantic Regional Win; Porter Wins Race

The fifth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men’s cross country team won the 2023 NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship on Saturday. November 11 for the fifth straight time. The team scored 19 points to place first with all seven runners finishing in the top 12 and graduate student Matthew Porter earning the regional championship crown.

The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team, ranked ninth in Division III, finished 13th overall and was the second Division III institution to cross in the gold race at the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational on Saturday in a field of 43 teams. The field for the 8k race was comprised of runners from Division I, II and III.
