Tartan Men Selected to Compete at 2016 NCAA Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team received an at-large invitation to the 2016 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships which will be held at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, November 19.  It marks the Tartans third straight team appearance at the championships and 10th in the last 12 years.

Carnegie Mellon received the invite after placing third at the Mideast Regional on Saturday, November 12.  At the meet five of seven runners garnered all-region after placing in the top 35 at the race.

The Tartans will be joined by three other University Athletic Association (UAA) teams at the national meet. The men tied for the UAA Championship in late October with Washington University in St. Louis.

Race time Saturday is set for 12:00 p.m.
