McLaughlin Receives UAA Accolade

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Colin McLaughlin (Stamford, Conn./Westhill) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Panther Opener this past Friday morning.

McLaughlin crossed first for the Tartans and second overall in 14:47.3 to lead the Tartans to a second-place showing across the 5k course at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Tartans raced against Division I University of Pittsburgh and Division II Davis and Elkins College.

The Tartans will run next on Friday, September 16 at the Robert Morris Invitational. The race starts at 9:45 a.m. at Youthtowne in Clinton, Pennsylvania.
