Otto Receives UAA Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University senior Liza Otto (Glastonbury, Conn.) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Tartans' UAA road trip this past weekend.  
    
Otto recorded a career-high 25 points, making a career-high 10 field goals including a career-high four three-pointers, in the Tartans' 57-54 setback to No. 10 Washington University in St. Louis on Sunday. Otto shot 62.5% from the floor and 66.7% from behind the arc. The senior also tallied 10 points in the Tartans' 93-90 overtime win at Chicago on Friday.  Otto needs 23 points to become the 11th women's basketball player in school history to surpass 1,000 career points.
    
The Tartans continue UAA play on Friday, February 19 when they entertain Emory University at 6:00 p.m.
