(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Sophomore Catherine Or garnered attention from the University Athletic Association (UAA) coaches this year and has been named to the All-Association First Team after leading the Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team this season.

Or's first-team honor marks her second selection to the All-Association team, as she was named to the second team last year. It's also the first top-team honor for a Tartan since Lisa Murphy earned the distinction for the fourth time in 2016-17.

Or was the only UAA player to average a double-double this year and became the sixth Tartan to achieve the mark, tallying 17.4 points per game and 10.9 rebounds per game. Her rebounding average led the UAA, she was third in scoring, fifth in field-goal percentage (49.8%), and finished at the top of the chart in free-throw percentage at 90.1%, setting a new CMU program record.

Or scored in double digits in 23 of 25 games this year while recording 14 double-doubles. She tied her career-high of 30 points on the road at 22nd-ranked WashU and pulled down a career-best 23 boards at Brandeis, setting the UAA record for defensive rebounds with 20. The sophomore point guard also led the team in assists per game with 3.0 and steals per game at 2.2.

Nationally, Or's free-throw percentage ranks fifth while her 14 double-doubles are 24th. Or also finished 17th in the nation in defensive rebounds per game at 8.3.

Or finished with 436 points scored, the most by a Tartan since Makayla Filiere tallied 437 as a sophomore in the 2017-18 season, and now has 795 career points through 50 games played.

The Tartans finished the season with a 12-13 record and a 3-11 UAA mark.
