Women's Golf Team Reaches 100% Giving

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team became the second intercollegiate team at the university to achieve 100% giving.

In October, the Student-Athlete Advisory Council achieved 100% giving to the athletics department, and quickly elected to challenge the rest of the student-athlete community to join in investing in their own experience. With nearly 200 student gifts to date, the student-athlete community has responded in a big way.

The Carnegie Mellon University Department of Athletics recently launched the Tartan Challenge to current teams, staff members, alumni, parents and friends of the department.

Contributions to the athletics department are used to directly support student experience. Last year, the department set a new benchmark for number of donors, as well as dollars raised. The fundraised money provided the department with the flexibility to support leadership programming, offset costs for student training trips, enhanced recruiting budgets, allowed for locker room renovations and provided flexibility to add logos and wordmarks to the new football playing surface.
