Sudjianto Garners Second UAA Women’s Golfer of the Week Honors

Graduate student Alexis Sudjianto of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week for the second time this fall following her in leading the Tartans to their first UAA Championship as well as to a second place showing at the 2023 Golfweek Invitational last week.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team competed at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Wednesday in Miramar Beach, Florida, which is a four-team match play format. The Tartans won both matches to win their first UAA Championship in program history.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team finished play at the 54-hole at the 2023 Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational in Miramar Beach, Florida, on Tuesday. The Tartans shot a team score of 293 for the final round to finish second with an 898 (309-296-293).

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team continued play at the 2023 Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational in Miramar Beach, Florida, on Monday. The Tartans carded a 296 for round two and have a 36-hole score of 605 (309-296) which places them second in the three-day, 54-hole tournament out of 24 teams.

Graduate student Alexis Sudjianto of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week following her play at the 2023 NCAA Division III Preview in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Sudjianto helped the Tartans to their second straight tournament victory with a seven-stroke victory at the 36-hole event on the par-72, 5,805-yard Keene Trace Golf Club course.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team ended play at the 2023 NCAA Division III Preview on Monday in Nicholasville, Kentucky firing a team score of 290. The Tartans won the preview with a 36-hole score of 584 (294-290).

Freshman Samantha Wang of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week following her play at the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate. Wang claimed individual medalist honors at the 36-hole event on the par-72, 5,640-yard Montgomery Country Club course.

15 Tartans Earn UAA Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Recognition

Carnegie Mellon University had 15 student-athletes named to the 14th annual University Athletic Association (UAA) Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Team, as announced by the league’s office on Tuesday, September 12. The 15 Tartans, six from men’s track and field men’s cross country, two from women’s track and field, and one each from women’s basketball, women’s golf, women’s soccer, softball, women’s swimming and diving, women’s tennis, and volleyball, received the prestigious honor along with 117 other student-athletes representing all eight UAA member institutions.
