Women’s Golf Closes Season with Win at Westminster Invite

(NEW CASTLE, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team competed at the Westminster Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 23, as the Tartans won their fourth event of the season. Carnegie Mellon carded a team score of 353 to close the season with three straight victories. The 18-hole event was held at New Castle Country Club.

The Tartans were led by sophomore Summer Kitahara (Greenwich, Conn./Rye Country Day) who entered the clubhouse with an 81 to claim individual medalist honors for the fifth time this season and third consecutive tournament. Sophomore Emma Hoskins (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) carded an 85 while freshman Carly Jordan (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./St. Margaret's Episcopal School) finished her rookie campaign with a 91.

Senior Yoon Hee Ha (Tigard, Ore./Tigard) carded a 96 with sophomore Isabelle Tseng (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) ending the day with a 100.

Sophomore Ginger Glass (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) entered the tournament as an individual and finished the 18-hole event with a 101.
