Pan Named UAA Women’s Golfer of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Freshman Denise Pan (Houston, Texas/St. John's School) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week following her play at the Jekyll Island Collegiate over the weekend.

Pan led the Tartans to a third-place finish at the 54-hole event on the par-72, 5,801-yard course at the Indian Mounds Golf Club on Jekyll Island. In her first collegiate event, Pan carded rounds of 79, 74, and 77 to place fourth individually with a 230 in a field of 82 golfers.

The Tartans will return to the links April 2 at the Golfweek Invitational held at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
