(HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team opened play in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Division III Championship on Tuesday in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. The Tartans carded a team score of 319 and are currently tied for third.

  • Sophomore Sriya Mupparaju led the Tartans with a three-over par 76 and is tied for fifth individually in a field of 151 golfers.
  • Senior Alexis Sudjianto entered the clubhouse with a 79.
  • Sophomore Reeya Vasishta ended play Monday with an 80.
  • Sophomore Kaylin Yeoh fired an opening round score of 84 with junior Denise Pan carding an 89.

Up Next:

  • Second round of play is set for Wednesday with the Tartans tee times to begin at 12:40 p.m. with Vasishta the first out. Following 54 holes of competition, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and the top six individuals not on one of those teams to compete in the final day.
