Wu Named to NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Team

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – Carnegie Mellon University senior women's soccer player Elsa Wu (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) was honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America on the 2011 NCAA Women's Division III All-Great Lakes Region team. Wu earns the honor for the second consecutive year.

Wu, who was named to the all-region first team, helped lead the Tartan scoring attack with three goals and one assist for the 9-7 squad that finished tied for fourth place in the University Athletic Association (UAA). She tallied one game winner and scored in two consecutive games. The senior midfielder was also named to the All-UAA first team for the second time after making appearances on the second team the two previous seasons.

Wu finished her career as one of four Carnegie Mellon women's soccer players to earn All-UAA recognition in each season played. She totaled 15 goals scored with five assists while starting every game played by the Tartans from 2008 through 2011.
