Dieterich Honored as UAA Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week

Senior Cecelia Dieterich has been honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance in a 2-0 week for the Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team.

15 Tartans Earn UAA Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Recognition

Carnegie Mellon University had 15 student-athletes named to the 14th annual University Athletic Association (UAA) Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Team, as announced by the league’s office on Tuesday, September 12. The 15 Tartans, six from men’s track and field men’s cross country, two from women’s track and field, and one each from women’s basketball, women’s golf, women’s soccer, softball, women’s swimming and diving, women’s tennis, and volleyball, received the prestigious honor along with 117 other student-athletes representing all eight UAA member institutions.

#2 Tartans Continue Streak, Top Ohio Northern 4-0

The second-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team recorded another shutout, its sixth straight, and topped Ohio Northern University at home on Friday, September 15 by a 4-0 score. The Tartans are now 7-0 while the Polar Bears dropped to 0-4-1 after playing three top-25 opponents.

The second-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team topped Grove City College by a 5-0 score for its fifth win away from home this season. The Tartans scored twice in the first half and shut out their fifth opponent this season to advance to 6-0 while the Wolverines dropped to 2-3.

The eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team topped Shenandoah University by a 3-0 score on Sunday, September 10. The Tartans are now 5-0 for the season while Shenandoah drops to 3-1.

The eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team advanced to 3-0 after sitting idle through a 2.5 hour lightning delay to defeat Bridgewater (Va.) College by a 2-0 score on Saturday, September 9 at Shenandoah University.
