Reid and Contopoulos Named All-Region
(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) - Junior Savina Reid (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y./Briarcliff) and senior Rachel Contopoulos (Oakland, Calif./Berkeley) were named to the 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Women's Soccer All-Great Lakes Region Team on Wednesday, December 4. Reid is honored for the second time, while Contopoulos ends her career with her first honor.
Reid was named to the second team this year after registering two assists from her forward position. Although not scoring a goal, the junior impacted each game and tallied a total of 15 shots.
Contopoulos led the team in points with 10, scored two goals and assisted on six, and was honored with a third-team selection. Two of her assists came in the double-overtime loss to the University of Rochester.
In the Tartans final game of the year, an NCAA tournament first round match against York (Pa.) College, both Reid and Contopoulos registered a shot on goal.
Both Reid and Contopoulos were named All-University Athletic Assocation Second Team.
