Women's Soccer Selected to Host 2015 NCAA First and Second Rounds

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team received an at-large bid to the 2015 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship after finishing as the Co-Champions of the University Athletic Association and holding a national ranking as high as third during the season. The Tartans have been selected to host the first and second rounds. The appearance in the NCAA tournament marks the fourth straight for the program who finished the regular season with a 15-1-1 overall mark.

The fifth-ranked Tartans, who won the program's second UAA Championship, will host a four-team regional on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15. Joining Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh will be Cabrini College (11-5-3), McDaniel College (15-2-2), and SUNY Oneonta (14-3-2).

The Tartans will face Cabrini, winners of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) at 5:00 p.m., while McDaniel, who received an at-large bid out of the Centential Conference (CC), will play SUNY Oneonta, winners of the SUNY Athletic Conference at 7:30 p.m.

The winners of each game will play on Sunday, November 15 in a second round contest at 5:00 p.m.
