Stritter Receives UAA Athlete of the Week Award

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Sienna Stritter (Menlo Park, Calif./Menlo School) was named the University Athletic Association Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week after scoring three goals in the Tartans' two NCAA Tournament wins this past weekend.

Stritter came off the bench Saturday in the 5-0 win against Cabrini College and opened the scoring in the 29th minute. She then scored her second goal of the game to start the second half with a strike in the 49th minute.

On Sunday, Stritter was the hero when she scored her third goal of the weekend in the 92nd minute to send the Tartans to the NCAA Sectional for the second consecutive year and third time in four years.

Stritter and the fifth-ranked Tartans will face 20th-ranked Calvin College on Friday, November 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the sectional semifinals on their home turf.
