Adams Named UAA Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University senior Haili Adams (Kirkland, Wash./Juanita) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week for her performance in the first two games of the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship.

Adams scored both goals for the Tartans in two different 1-0 NCAA victories. On Saturday, Adams put in the game winner in the 25th minute and registered another three shots on goal in the first round against Farmingdale State College. On Sunday, Adams scored the game winner with 3:29 to play in the first overtime and once again put another three shots on goal against Arcadia University to push the Tartans to their fourth sectional semifinal appearance in six years.

The eighth-ranked Tartans continue play in the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, November 18 when they face third-ranked Hardin-Simmons University at William Smith College at 1:30 p.m.
