Moy, Adams Honored as All-Americans by D3soccer.com

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer seniors Alex Moy (Southborough, Mass. / Algonquin Regional) and Haili Adams (Kirkland, Wash. / Juanita) were honored by D3soccer.com on the organizations annual All-America team. Moy earned placement on the second team while Adams was recognized on the third team.

Moy earns her first career All-America honor after a standout senior season. The outside back for the Tartans was also recognized by the United Soccer Coaches on the All-Great Lakes Region First Team and by the College Sports Information Directors (CoSIDA) as an Academic All-District honoree. Moy started all 20 games at outside back for the Tartans and recorded the game-winning goal against Emory University. She was part of the defense that tied the school record for most shutouts with 13 and finished with a goals against average of 0.44.

The nod from D3soccer.com follows first-team placement on the United Soccer Coaches All-America team for Adams as well as a first-team selection to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America team. The senior forward led the Tartans in goals scored with 12 and points with 27. The senior finished the year with seven game-winning goals and scored both game winners in the NCAA tournament, as the Tartans won both their first round and second round games by 1-0 scores. With her 12 goals, she owns the senior class goal scoring mark, surpassing Savina Reid's 11 goals scored in 2014.

The Tartans earned their sixth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the sectional semifinal for the fourth time.
