Dieterich Honored as UAA Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) –  Senior Cecelia Dieterich has been honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance in a 2-0 week for the Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team.

Dieterich led the second-ranked Tartans to a pair of shutout wins with two goals and an assist last week. Her first goal of the week came in the 53rd minute on the road at Grove City College and was the third goal of a 5-0 win. Her second goal of the week was the game-winner in a 4-0 home victory against 2022 NCAA Tournament competitor Ohio Northern University. Dieterich's fifth goal of the season came in the eighth minute. The senior also assisted on the game's final goal in the 90th minute.

The Tartans are in action this week on Saturday, September 23 against Point Park College at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh at 11:00 a.m. and travel to Baldwin Wallace University on Sunday, September 24 for a 12:00 p.m. contest.
