Del Bosque and Tan Named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars

Senior Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) and junior Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team have been named a Division III Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). This marks the sixth straight year that Carnegie Mellon has had a golfer named a scholar and second straight with multiple golfers named.

The 2017-18 Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team was one of 34 NCAA Division III institutions who received the All-Academic Team award from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The Tartans finished the year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.25.

Freshman Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team has once again been recognized for his play on the course this past season by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). On Tuesday night, at the GCAA annual awards dinner, Li was named to the PING Mid-Atlantic Region team. This honor comes less than two weeks following the announcement that Li is a semifinalist for the NCAA Division III Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award presented by Barbasol.

Freshman Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team has been named by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as a semifinalist for the NCAA Division III Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award presented by Barbasol. The Nicklaus Award recognizes the top players at the Division I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA levels.

Freshman Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team has been named University Athletic Association (UAA) Rookie of the Year, as voted on by the association coaches. Li, also a first-team selection, is joined by two Tartan honorable mention honorees, senior Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) and junior Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary).

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team opened play on Sunday at the 15-team Hershey Cup. The Tartans as a team are tied for 14th after carding a 322 on the par-71, East Course at Hershey Country Club. The two-day, 36-hole event finds Kenyon College leading with a 299.

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team hosted its annual spring invitational on Thursday at the par 70 Longue Vue Club in Verona, Pennsylvania. The Tartans had five golfers compete all as individuals while Point Park won the four-team event after carding a 318. Top individual medalist honors went to Jason Thorp from Thiel after shooting a four-over par 74.

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team carded a final round of 308 at the Wynlakes Intercollegiate in Montgomery, Alabama on Tuesday, and finished 15th with a 36-hole score of 631 (323-308). Wittenberg University won the 16-team event with a score of 591 (299-292). The 36-hole event was played at the par 72, 6,979-yard Wynlakes Golf & Country Club.

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed in the first round of the Wynlakes Intercollegiate in Montgomery, Alabama on Monday, and carded a team score of 323. The field is comprised of 16 teams, including six teams ranked in the top 25 nationally. The 36-hole event is being played at the par 72, 6,979-yard Wynlakes Golf & Country Club.

The Tartans ended the 54-hole tournament 14th out of 30 teams after carding a score of 894 (296-293-305) over the three rounds. The field was comprised of 14 of the nation's top 25 teams in Division III and included four of the top five. The three-day event was held on the 6,700-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes Course on Jekyll Island.

The Tartans are currently in ninth after 36-holes of play with a two-round total of 589 (296-293) after carding a 293 on Saturday. The three-day event is being played on the 6,700-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes Course on Jekyll Island. The field is comprised of 30 teams which has 14 of the nation's top 25 teams in Division III including four of the top five.

The Tartans carded a team score of 296 in the opening round and are currently ninth. The three-day, 54-hole event is being held on the 6,700-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes Course on Jekyll Island.

The two-day, 36-hole championship was played at Hammock Beach Resort on the 6,972-yard, par-72 Conservatory Course in Palm Coast, Florida.

The Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team competed at the University Athletics Association (UAA) Championships on Monday, March 12 in a four-team match play format. The 2018 championships are being played at Hammock Beach Resort on the Conservatory Course in Palm Coast, Florida. In the opening round, the Tartans faced the University of Rochester and defeated the Yellowjackets with a 3-2 decision. Hammock Beach Resort Conservatory Course is a par-72 course.
