  • Tartans Return to NCAA Championships as Mideast Region Top Team

    By winning the 2019 NCAA Mideast Regional Championship this past Saturday for the second consecutive season, the Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team automatically qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships which will be hosted by Spalding University at the Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, November 23. It marks the Tartans sixth straight team appearance at the championships and 13th in the last 14 years.
  • Tartans Win Second Straight Mideast Regional Championship

    The fourth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team won the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships for the second straight year Saturday. The men finished with all seven runners in the top 20 of the race, with an overall score of 55 points, 21 points ahead of second place Johns Hopkins University.
  • Tartans Win UAA Championship

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team won the 2019 University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Cross Country Championship on its home course in Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Saturday afternoon. The Tartans placed five runners in the top 15 to win the race by four points over Washington University in St. Louis. The meet victory marks the fifth time in school history the Tartans have won the UAA Championships and first since 2016.

    Carnegie Mellon University junior Matt Karee (Elmira, N.Y. / Notre Dame) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week. The junior led the 7th-ranked Tartans to their fourth first-place showing of the year and fifth top performance against a Division III field when the team won the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle on Saturday.

    The seventh-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team ran to a first-place finish at the Rowan University Inter-Regional Invitational this Saturday in Glassboro, New Jersey.
  • Tartans Claim Home Hampton Inn Pittsburgh – University/Medical Center Invitational Title

    The seventh-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team won its home Hampton Inn Pittsburgh – University/Medical Center Invitational on Saturday. The Tartans finished with five men in the top 15 in a field of Division I, II and III runners.

  • Men Top Division III Field in Paul Short Invitational Gold Race

    Competing for their second year in the gold race at the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational, the Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team placed 23rd in a field of 44 teams on Saturday, October 5th. The Tartans were the first Division III team to finish in a field of Division I and Division III runners.

    Carnegie Mellon University senior Liam Walsh (Gaithersburg Md. / Quince Orchard) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for helping lead the Tartans to a perfect score at the Allegheny College Classic.

    The 7th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team topped the field at the Allegheny College Classic on Saturday. The men's team finished with 13 runners in the top 15 and a perfect score to record their second consecutive win this season.
  • Tartans Top Division I Duquesne and Youngstown State

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team started off the 2019 season at the Duquesne Duals held in Shenley Park Saturday morning. The men topped the field against two Division I teams, defeating both Duquesne University and Youngstown State.
