Tartans Start Season at Panther Opener

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team opened its 2022 campaign at the Panther Opener at Schenley Park next to campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Friday morning. The Tartans scored 45 points and placed second on the 5k course.

Results:
- Sophomore Colin McLaughlin crossed first for the Tartans and second overall in 14:47.3
- Sophomore Eamon Brady placed eighth in 15:01.9
- Placing 10th was senior Elijah Sech in 15:10.3
- Freshman Ryan Podnar along with juniors David Durdaller and Charlie Murphy crossed 12th, 13th and 14th, respectively, with times of 15:16.3, 15:19.1 and 15:22.0.
