Coyne was named PAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week while Jaeb was named PAC Special Teams Player of the Week. Coyne also landed a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week.

The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) held its annual football media day on Wednesday, August 3, where the Carnegie Mellon University football team was selected to finish third in the 2022 PAC preseason poll with 336 points while collecting 10 first-place votes. Media day was held at the Sis and Herman Dupré Science Center on the campus of Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
