Women’s Swimming Receives Team Scholar Award from CSCAA

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) with a Team Scholar All-America award as six individuals were also named. The 2014 CSCAA Scholar All-America Team and Individual Scholar All-Americans are supported by Nike.

Tartans Make Waves at NCAA Championships

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving relay continued its success at the 2014 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on the second day of competition, Thursday, March 20. The 400-yard medley relay finished 14th in 3:50.34 to earn Honorable Mention All-America, a day after the 200-yard medley relay finished 15th.

Women Swimmers Invited to Compete at NCAA Championships

Five women swimmers from the Carnegie Mellon University women’s swimming and diving team have been invited to compete at the 2014 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships hosted at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana. This marks the fifth year under head coach Matt Kinney that at least one female swimmer has qualified for the championship meet.

Tartans Finish Fourth at UAA Championships

As the final results were calculated from the 2014 University Athletic Association (UAA) Swimming and Diving Championships, which took place over three days and in two cities, the Carnegie Mellon University women’s team finished fourth with 1,140 points. Emory University pulled out the team victory with 2,055 points as Washington University placed second with 1,270 points.
Four NCAA Cut Times Lead Tartans at UAA Championships

The University Athletic Association (UAA) Swimming and Diving Championships continued on Saturday at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., as the Carnegie Mellon University women's team picked up four NCAA provisional cut times during the final swim. Final results of the championships will be available Monday after results are merged from the satellite meet at Case Western Reserve University.
Garvey Sets School Record as Tartans Open UAA Championships

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team traveled to Atlanta, Ga., on Friday, February 14 for the University Athletic Association (UAA) Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by Emory University. As inclement weather hit the Atlanta area, three competing teams were unable to make it in, thus requiring a satellite meet that is being hosted by Case Western Reserve University. Final results to determine champions will be compiled late Sunday evening or Monday morning.

Tartans Open Spring Semester with Double Dual Split

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team opened the spring semester with a double dual meet split against SUNY Geneseo and Westminster College on Saturday, January 18. The meet was hosted by Westminster as the Tartans dropped their first dual meet of the season to Geneseo, 153-147, and defeated Westminster 219-75.
