Xu Earns Second UAA Women's Swimmer of the Week Award

Carnegie Mellon University freshman Savannah Xu was honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Swimmer of the Week following her record-setting performance at the Kenyon College Invitational. The honor is the second of the year for Xu and the third of the year for a Tartan swimmer.

Tartans Host Diving Invitational

The Carnegie Mellon University women's diving team hosted a two-day diving invitational with four other Division III schools on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19. The women competed in 11 dives on the 3-meter board on Friday and 11 dives on the 1-meter board on Saturday.

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s swimming team closed the Kenyon College Invitational on Saturday, November 19 with school records and NCAA provisional qualifying times. The Tartans placed third with 1,465 points while Kenyon won the meet with 2803.5 points.

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s swimming team continued competition at the Kenyon College Invitational on Friday, November 18 with multiple season-best times and a school record. The Tartans are in third place with 895 team points. Kenyon leads the meet with 1,830.5 points.

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s swimming team began the Kenyon College Invitational on Thursday, November 17 with multiple NCAA provisional qualifying times and school records. The Tartans are in third place with 342 team points. Kenyon leads the meet with 676.5 points.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team swept the University Athletic Association (UAA) weekly honors with freshman Eliana Szabo earning UAA Women's Swimmer of the Week and junior Kelli Kuramoto earning UAA Women's Diver of the Week following their performances in the dual meet against Washington and Lee University and the diving meet against Kenyon College on Saturday, November 12. The award is the second of the year for Kuramoto.

Kuramoto Places Third on Both Boards at Fletch Diving Invite

Four Carnegie Mellon University women’s divers competed at the Fletch College Invite at Ohio University on Friday and Saturday, October 14 and 15 to open the 2022-23 season. The field was comprised of 29 total divers from Division III colleges, Kenyon (Ohio), Trinity University (Texas), and Hope (Michigan), Division I Ohio University, and Division II University of Findlay.

Aidan Pinto Shares Her Student Experience

Aidan Pinto is a chemical engineering major and swimmer for the Carnegie Mellon University women’s swimming and diving team. Pinto spent her junior summer as a research and development intern at PepsiCo in Plano, Texas. Her interest in the position began long before she enrolled at Carnegie Mellon but she used her CMU leverage and the Society of Women Engineers mentorship program to land the job.
