Barre Wins 100-Meter Hurdles at Dave Labor Invitational

The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University on Saturday. The field was comprised of Division I, II and III athletes. Due to inclement weather, the Tartans competed in a limited number of events.
Tartans Turn in Eight Top Three Finishes at Annual Invite, Place Second as a Team

The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team hosted its annual Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Gesling Stadium. The Tartans placed second in a field comprised of Division I, II and III institutions with 96 team points while Duquesne University won the invite with 106 points.
Monahan Named UAA Field Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Katie Monahan of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s outdoor track and field team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week for field events following her performance at the Washington and Lee Track and Field Carnival over the weekend.

Barre Places Fourth in High Jump at NCAA Indoor Championships

A day after winning the national indoor track and field championship in the pentathlon, senior Liz Barre of the Carnegie Mellon University women's indoor track and field team became an All-American in the high jump at the 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday. The championships are being held at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, with Birmingham-Southern College serving as the host.
National Champion! Barre Wins Pentathlon at NCAA Indoor Championships

Senior Liz Barre of the Carnegie Mellon University women's indoor track and field team became the first national indoor track and field champion in program history Friday when she won the pentathlon with a school record 3,837 points at the 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. The championships are being held at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, with Birmingham-Southern College serving as the host.
Indoor Track and Field Garners 40 USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Honors

The Carnegie Mellon University men’s and women’s track and field teams had 40 Mid-Atlantic All-Region honors awarded to its athletes by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2023 indoor track and field season. Twenty-three represent the men while 17 represent the women with six men receiving multiple honors and three women.
Barre Named UAA Indoor Women’s Most Outstanding Performer in Field Events

Carnegie Mellon University Liz Barre was honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) when the 2023 UAA Indoor Track and Field awards were announced Monday. Barre was named Most Outstanding Performer in the field events becoming the first Tartan female to receive the honor for field events as well as the first to win two titles in field events at the indoor championships.

Tartans Finish Fourth at UAA Indoor Championships

The Carnegie Mellon University women's indoor track and field team placed fourth at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Championships on Sunday afternoon hosted by Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. The Tartans finished the championships with 67 points while Washington University in St. Louis scored 194 points to take first.

The two-day championship meet is being hosted by Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. The Tartans have 20 points and are currently fourth heading into the final day.
