Freshman Catherine Or (Los Angeles, Calif. / Marlborough School) has been honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on its yearly awards team, becoming the first Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball player to earn a spot on the team since 2017. Or was recognized on the Division III Women's Basketball All-ECAC Second Team and is one of three freshmen on the first or second team.

Freshman Catherine Or (Los Angeles, Calif. / Marlborough School) pulled in the D3hoops.com Region 7 Rookie of the Year award, becoming the third Carnegie Mellon University women’s basketball player to earn the recognition under 11-year head coach Jacquie Hullah. Or shares the honor with Bethany College’s Lindsey Garrison while also earning placement on the third team.
Champions! Tartans Win ECAC Championship

The Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team topped Penn State Behrend for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship on Saturday, March 5. The Tartans dominated the game from start to finish in the 80-60 victory at home in Wiegand Gymnasium to close the year with a 14-11 record after not competing at all a year ago. Seniors Leah Weslock (Howell, Mich. / Howell) and Caitlyn Clendenin (Bethesda, Md. / Bethesda Chevy Chase) were named to the ECAC All-Tournament Team with Clendenin earning Most Valuable Player honors.
Tartans Dominate in ECAC Semifinal, Top Kean 77-44

All five starters scored in double figures for the Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team who defeated top-seeded Kean University in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Women's Basketball Championship semifinal, 77-44, on Wednesday, March 2 at home in Wiegand Gymnasium. The Tartans are now 13-11 for the season while Kean closes their campaign at 17-8.

The Tartans finished the regular season with a 12-11 record and 6-8 UAA mark, sweeping three UAA opponents.
Tartans Selected to ECAC Championship Tournament; Set to Host 4-Team Field

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s basketball team finished the regular season with a 12-11 record and have been selected to compete for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Women’s Basketball Championship for the first time since 2016-17 when the team was crowned champions. The Tartans were elected to host the four-team field with competition set to start Wednesday, March 2.

The Tartans finish with a 12-11 overall record and a 6-8 UAA mark while the Spartans finish at 8-17 and 3-11.

The win for the Tartans is the second against Brandeis this year and moves the Tartans to 10-9 overall and 4-6 in UAA play.
