Moraga Hired as Women’s Soccer Assistant

Carnegie Mellon University head women’s soccer coach Yon Struble announced the hiring of Christopher Moraga as the next full time assistant coach for the Tartans women’s soccer program. Moraga will begin work with the Tartans immediately.

Moy earned placement on the second team while Adams was recognized on the third team.
Women’s Soccer Assistant Shannon DeNinno Hired by Aurora as Head Coach

After serving six years as the Carnegie Mellon University Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach, Shannon DeNinno has been named the head coach at Aurora University. DeNinno will begin her first head coaching stint in February on the Aurora, Illinois, campus.
Adams Honored as Scholar All-America by United Soccer Coaches

Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer sophomore Camille Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio/The Seven Hills School) was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Women’s Soccer Team for Division III. The announcement, which came out Tuesday, honors 33 women’s players from across the nation.

Botz Named ECAC Defensive Player and Rookie of the Year

Carnegie Mellon University freshman Carolyn Botz (St. Louis, Mo./MICDS) was honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) as the ECAC Division III Women’s Soccer Defensive Player and Rookie of the Year. The award for Botz comes after the freshman was named to the All-University Athletic Association (UAA) First Team.

#8 Tartans Dominate #3 Hardin-Simmons But Come Up Short, 1-0, in NCAA Sectional Semifinal

The eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team dominated play against third-ranked Hardin-Simmons University on Saturday, November 18 in the sectional semifinal of the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship but were unable to finish any of its 17 shots, as the Cowgirls narrowly defeated the Tartans, 1-0.
Three Honored on CoSIDA Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team
