Tartans Impress Once Again in Classroom During Fall Semester

The fall athletics season was highlighted by five team NCAA Championship appearances and eight nationally ranked winter and spring teams, while the Tartans excelled in the classroom. An impressive 163 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, and 59% earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Six from Women's Soccer Honored on CSC Academic All-District Team

Five Tartans Earn All-UAA Women’s Soccer Honors

Five Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer players have been honored on the 2024 All-University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Soccer Team with graduate student Cecelia Dieterich earning first-team recognition. Sophomore Audrey Bianco and junior Grace Starr were placed on the second team while seniors Gemma Jefferson and Emma Shirzad received honorable mention accolades.
Tartans Complete Season in NCAA Second Round

The seventh-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team hosted a second round game of the Division III NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship against Illinois Tech on Sunday, November 17. After an intense match that ended in a 2-2 tie following double overtime, the game was decided by penalty kicks. The Scarlet Hawks won the penalty kick shootout 7-6 to advance to the round of 16.
#7 Tartans Shutout Mount St. Joseph in First Round of NCAA Tournament

The seventh-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team hosted a first round game of the Division III NCAA Women's Soccer Championship on Saturday, November 16, topping Mount St. Joseph University by a 4-0 score. The win puts the team's record at 12-2-4 for the season and marks the 18th NCAA victory for the program.
Tartans Selected to NCAA Championships Field, Will Host First and Second Rounds

The seventh-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team received an at-large bid to the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship after finishing second in the University Athletic Association. The Tartans have been selected to host the first and second rounds with play to begin Saturday, November 16. The appearance in the NCAA tournament marks the 11th in 12 years for the program which finished the regular season with an 11-2-4 overall mark.
#7 Tartans Close Regular Season with 3-1 Win at CWRU

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team traveled to Ohio to face Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, November 9. The Tartans won 3-1, putting them at 11-2-4 overall and 4-2-1 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) while the Spartans are 8-4-5 overall and 1-4-2 in the UAA.

The third-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team faced off against the University of Chicago on Sunday, October 27 for its second straight road game. The Tartans fell 1-0 to the Maroons, making them drop to 10-2-3 for the season and 3-2 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) while the Maroons move to 10-5-1 and 2-3 in the UAA.

The third-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team faced off against first-ranked Washington University in St. Louis on Friday. The Tartans fell 3-0 for their first loss of the season and are now 10-1-3 overall and 3-1 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) while the Bears move to 15-0-1 and 4-0 in the UAA.
Starr Awarded UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week

Carnegie Mellon University junior Grace Starr was awarded the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for her performance in the fourth-ranked Tartans 1-0 victory at home against 23rd-ranked Emory University over the weekend. The award is the first for Starr and third straight defensive honor for the Tartans.
#4 Tartans Earn Another Shutout, Top #23 Emory, 1-0

The fourth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team hosted 23rd-ranked Emory University on Saturday, October 19 for its third University Athletic Association (UAA) game of the season. A second-half goal gave the Tartans a 1-0 win and moved their record to 10-0-3 overall and 3-0 in the UAA. The Eagles are at 9-3-1 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team, ranked fourth in the nation, faced 20th-ranked University of Rochester on Saturday, October 12 in Rochester. The Tartans won 2-0 and are now 9-0-3 overall and 2-0 in the University Athletic Association (UAA). The Yellowjackets are 8-2-2 and 1-1-0.
Locateli Honored as UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week

Junior Helena Locateli has been honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for her role in the Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team's victory on Saturday, October 5 against Brandeis University. The honor is the first of the year for the Tartans and second career honor for Locateli.
