The Carnegie Mellon University men's track and field team hosted its annual Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Gesling Stadium. The field was comprised of Division I, II and III institutions with the Tartans winning three events, breaking a Gesling Stadium record and two school records.

Freshman Luke Freimanis of the Carnegie Mellon University men’s track and field team has been honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) with outstanding regional recognition. Freimanis was named Mid-Atlantic Region Men's Field Athlete of the Year, becoming the program’s second men’s track and field athlete to garner a regional award for the indoor season.

The Carnegie Mellon University men’s and women’s track and field teams had 40 Mid-Atlantic All-Region honors awarded to its athletes by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025 indoor track and field season. Nineteen represent the men while one represent the women with four men receiving multiple honors.

Freshman Luke Freimanis and junior Casey Potrebic of the Carnegie Mellon University men's indoor track and field team finished competition at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field  Championships on Saturday, March 15 with All-America honors, as Freimanis placed second and Potrebic 12th in the heptathlon. The championships were held at the Golisano Training Center at Nazareth University.

The Carnegie Mellon University men’s track and field team competed at two different meets over the weekend. A few athletes competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invite at Boston University while the team competed at the D3 Elite Meet at Nazareth University.
